Independent Cinema Office
First Light Movies works in partnership with the Independent Cinema Office (ICO) to improve the exhibition of First Light Movies films.
The ICO is a national organisation that aims to develop and support independent film exhibition throughout the UK.
The organisation will co-ordinate the submission of films made under the First Light Movies initiative to festivals and cinemas in the UK and internationally. With the ICO's help First Light Movies funded films have been screened to audiences throughout the world, please click here to see the full list of where.

Hi8us
First Light Movies was established by Hi8us Projects in 2001 and has a long history with Hi8us Projects Limited. Under the guidance and expertise of Hi8us, First Light Movies has changed the lives of many young people. Hi8us nurtured the young company and enabled it to develop into the thriving organisation that it is today. Hi8us’ history and foresight helped First Light Movies to work with funding bodies enabling it to forge relationships with many schools, filmmakers, film groups, youth groups and cinemas to produce films that articulate the concerns and interests of many young people. www.hi8us.co.uk

Courtesy of our exciting new partnership with Virgin Media and FilmFlex First Light Movies films, suitable for all ages, are available on Film Flex Virgin Media's digital Video on Demand channel.
This is a wonderful chance for young filmmakers to broadcast their talents to potentially millions of UK households. The selection of films are First Light Movies Awards 2008 nominated films.
