Independent Cinema Office

First Light Movies works in partnership with the Independent Cinema Office (ICO) to improve the exhibition of First Light Movies films.

The ICO is a national organisation that aims to develop and support independent film exhibition throughout the UK.

The organisation will co-ordinate the submission of films made under the First Light Movies initiative to festivals and cinemas in the UK and internationally. First Light Movies was established by Hi8us Projects in 2001 and has a long history with Hi8us Projects Limited. Courtesy of our exciting new partnership with Virgin Media and FilmFlex First Light Movies films, suitable for all ages, are available on Film Flex Virgin Media's digital Video on Demand channel.

This is a wonderful chance for young filmmakers to broadcast their talents to potentially millions of UK households. The selection of films are First Light Movies Awards 2008 nominated films.
